People Behind the Mission.

Roots of Opportunity Foundation was founded by people who believe neglected buildings and housing instability are two problems worth solving together.

Our team brings experience in real estate, development, construction, finance, and community partnerships. We look for historic properties that have sat vacant for ten years or more, bring them back to productive use, and work to support housing stability for individuals and families.

People deserve opportunity. Communities deserve investment. Historic places deserve another life.

What We Do

Property Restoration

We work with property owners and community partners to restore historically significant buildings that have been vacant or neglected for a decade or more, and return them to use as housing and community assets.

Housing Support

Roots of Opportunity Foundation is developing housing assistance initiatives focused on eviction prevention and security-deposit support. Program availability, eligibility, and application procedures will depend on funding and established program requirements.
